These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RottenWorld website, related pages, services, communications, community features, project-support features, and any other online services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Services").
The Services are operated by CardanFX Studios Ltd., doing business as RottenWorld ("RottenWorld," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Services, submitting information, joining the RottenWorld transmission list, contacting the project, or making a Support Payment, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
RottenWorld is an entertainment and interactive-media project currently under development.
At the time these Terms are published, RottenWorld is in an early concept, development, and/or pre-alpha stage.
RottenWorld may eventually include, among other things:
References on the website to concepts, features, characters, Survivors, rooms, gameplay mechanics, population limits, environments, infrastructure, items, artwork, development stages, or future products are not representations that those features currently exist or will necessarily appear in the final project.
RottenWorld is evolving.
Features may be modified, postponed, replaced, redesigned, expanded, reduced, or removed during development.
RottenWorld is currently being developed publicly.
Artwork, renders, concept art, prototypes, demonstrations, mockups, animations, screenshots, videos, descriptions, interfaces, counters, maps, names, mechanics, and other materials may represent:
Unless expressly identified otherwise, such materials should not be interpreted as representations of completed gameplay or finished products.

RottenWorld currently presents a narrative concept involving a maximum population of: 300 Survivors.
The displayed population counter, including displays such as 001 / 300, is currently a narrative and development element of the RottenWorld project.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a future offering, it does not represent 300 currently available products, securities, ownership interests, licenses, real-world accommodations, memberships, investments, or legally reserved positions.
A Support Payment does not reserve a Survivor position.
A Support Payment does not reserve a room.
A Support Payment does not modify the population counter.
Future Survivor or room systems, if introduced, will be governed by separate terms, eligibility requirements, availability rules, prices, and conditions disclosed at that time.
RottenWorld may allow visitors to voluntarily make one-time payments to support development of the project ("Support Payments").
Support Payments may help fund expenses associated with RottenWorld, which may include:
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Support Payments are made to the operator of RottenWorld and are not charitable donations.
No representation is made that a Support Payment is tax deductible.
You are responsible for consulting your own tax adviser regarding any tax consequences associated with a Support Payment.

A Support Payment does not provide you with:
Support Payments should not be made for investment purposes.
Nothing offered through the Support section constitutes an offer to sell securities or a solicitation of an investment.
Unless a future offering expressly states otherwise:
Supporting RottenWorld does not purchase a Survivor.
Supporting RottenWorld does not purchase a room at The Last Resort.
Supporting RottenWorld does not reserve a future Survivor or room.
Supporting RottenWorld does not create priority rights to purchase a Survivor or room.
Any future system involving Survivors, rooms, memberships, licenses, access rights, digital items, or similar features will be announced separately and may be governed by additional terms.
RottenWorld may offer different Support Payment levels.
At launch, these may include concepts such as:

Recognition in a RottenWorld supporter or Founders Log, where offered.
$5 — POWER THE WORLD
Recognition associated with a fictional or project-related Power Grid Registry, where offered.
$10 — PLANT THE FUTURE
Recognition associated with a RottenWorld Seed Vault or related registry, where offered.
$19 — KEEP THE LIGHTS ON
Recognition as an early Founding Builder and/or inclusion in specified supporter registries, where offered.
The exact benefit associated with each support level will be described at the point of payment.
The description displayed during checkout controls if it differs from an older description elsewhere on the website.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, supporter recognition systems such as the:
are recognition features associated with the RottenWorld project.
They do not represent ownership of an actual solar panel, electrical system, plant, seed, land parcel, building, room, physical object, game asset, or other property.
For example, inclusion in the Power Grid Registry does not mean that a specific physical solar panel belongs to the supporter.
Similarly, inclusion in the Seed Vault does not mean that the supporter owns a particular physical or virtual plant.
These concepts may later be represented inside RottenWorld, but no particular implementation is guaranteed unless expressly promised as part of a specific transaction.

A Signal Number is an identifier and commemorative project record only.
A Signal Number:
RottenWorld may maintain Signal Numbers for historical and community purposes.
Where supporter recognition is available, you may be permitted to appear publicly using:
You are responsible for ensuring that any name or alias you submit does not:
We may decline, remove, abbreviate, or request modification of a public display name that violates these requirements.
Doing so will not remove the underlying record of a legitimate Support Payment.
You acknowledge that creative and technology projects involve substantial uncertainty.
RottenWorld may experience:
As a result, RottenWorld may ultimately differ substantially from concepts presented during development.
There is also a possibility that some planned features may never be completed.
Support the project only if you understand and accept this development-stage uncertainty.
Although RottenWorld intends to develop the project in good faith, we do not guarantee that RottenWorld will be completed, commercially released, or continue indefinitely.
A Support Payment should therefore not be understood as a preorder of the complete RottenWorld game unless a future transaction is expressly identified as a preorder.
If RottenWorld later sells a product as a preorder, presale, license, subscription, or other commercial offering, separate terms may apply.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe or another provider identified during checkout.
RottenWorld generally does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Payment processing may be subject to the payment processor's own terms and privacy policies.
By submitting payment information, you represent that:
The payment amount and currency will be displayed before you complete the transaction.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Support Payments are one-time payments and do not create recurring subscriptions.
We will not intentionally convert a one-time Support Payment into a recurring charge without your express authorization.
Prices may be displayed in U.S. dollars or another indicated currency.
Your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or financial institution may impose:
Such third-party charges are outside RottenWorld's control.
Applicable taxes may be collected where required by law.
Support Payments help fund an active development project and may be allocated to project expenses after payment.

Nothing in these Terms eliminates any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, chargeback, or consumer-protection rights that cannot legally be waived.

Before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback for a transaction you recognize, we encourage you to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.
This does not limit any lawful right you may have to dispute an unauthorized or improper transaction through your financial institution or payment provider.
Fraudulent chargebacks or knowingly false payment disputes may result in suspension from project services and may be challenged with the relevant payment provider.
The Services are intended for individuals who are legally capable of entering into the transactions they initiate.
If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may use payment or support functionality only with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian, where permitted by applicable law.
Children should not submit personal information through the Services without appropriate parental or guardian authorization.
We may cancel or refund transactions when required because of age-related restrictions.
Visitors may choose to provide an email address to receive RottenWorld development communications.
Joining the transmission list does not require you to make a Support Payment.
Making a Support Payment does not automatically authorize unrelated marketing communications unless permitted by applicable law and disclosed appropriately.
Where required, promotional communications will include a way to unsubscribe.
Transactional messages related to payments, security, support requests, or project participation may still be sent where necessary.

Please exercise caution before sending original creative concepts, game mechanics, scripts, characters, stories, artwork, inventions, business proposals, or other proprietary ideas that you expect us to treat as confidential.

We do not claim ownership of material merely because you send it to us.
However, you should not submit proprietary material requiring confidentiality without first obtaining an appropriate written agreement.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of RottenWorld intellectual property to you.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the website for lawful personal purposes.

You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your use of the Services.
Certain services, payment methods, features, or future products may not be available in all jurisdictions.
You may not use the Services where doing so would violate applicable trade sanctions, export-control laws, or other legal restrictions.
We may decline transactions or restrict access when reasonably required to comply with applicable law, sanctions requirements, payment-network rules, or instructions from financial institutions or service providers.
